Each year, EOI gives the Aubrey Davis Award for Progressive Leadership to a champion of progressive economic values – someone working for broad-based economic opportunity and making an impact in the lives of everyday people.*

Help us recognize the great work someone making a difference in our community, or our state, even our world. Send us your nomination by Friday, October 19, 2012. Past winners of The Aubrey include:

  • Cheryl Sesnon, Executive Director, Washington CASH – for her work to providing education, in-depth support, and access to capital needed to launch and grow successful small enterprises.
  • Louise Chernin, Executive Director, Greater Seattle Business Association – for her work combining business development, leadership and social action to expand economic opportunity for the LGBT community and those who support equality for all.
  • Makini Howell, Owner: Plum Bistro, Sage Café, & Hillside Quickie – for her bold leadership on Seattle’s paid sick days legislation.
