Tuition at Western State University keeps rising, because Washington's legislators keep cutting funding.

A recent state analysis says tuition at the University of Washington could hit $20,249 by 2019. But that may be too low: The U.S Department of Education estimates 2019-20 tuition and fees will reach $34,647 – not including room and board or books.
